Age In Place Resource Fair
Tuesday, April 30 from 4-7 pm
You’re invited! Are you thinking about staying in your home and aging in place? Are you looking for information to help a family member or friend learn about the resources that may be helpful for them to do so? Then please join us for the First Annual Age In Place Resource Fair on Tuesday, April 30th from 4-7 pm at the Beech Street Center, 266 Beech Street, Belmont.
The Belmont Council on Aging and Age Friendly Action Committee will be bringing more than 30 agencies (including AARP) and vendors to the Beech Street Center to provide you with information and services that will help you age in place. This free open house style fair will allow you to drop in at your convenience to speak with representatives and experts about everything from health, nutrition and wellness resources; transportation services; home modifications; safety assessments; companion care; medical and behavioral health support; elder law; and so much more!
The goal is to bring awareness of the resources available both locally and regionally to assist us with aging in place. While you may not need these resources at this time in your life, they may be helpful for future changes and we encourage residents to attend to gather valuable information, not only for themselves, but on behalf of a friend, spouse, parent, grandparent or neighbor.
Light refreshments will be available, and parking is available on site. We hope to see you there!
Please call 617-993-2970 to register.
